Our Community Project Lambay Cub Pack Skerries 16th Port 2nd Dublin King Louis Six We are a cub pack that lives in Skerries a seaside town in county Dublin Ireland. Over the winter our beach got destroyed with debris and rubbish. We decided to help our community and clean up our beach, so we all met up on Tuesday the eighth of April with our litter pickers and plastic bags and got to work. We were picking up for about an hour. We found a lot of litter including cans, plastic bottles and we found some star-fish. We found a live cartridge and we had to bring it to the Garda Station. Baloo Six Hello! We live in Skerries and that is on the east coast of Ireland. Our community project was to clean up the beach and we found lots of weird and wonderful things such as: a Barbie, a shotgun cartridge and a wellie boot!!! Sheere Kahn Six We cleaned up our beach because it was very dirty and there was a lot of debris because of the windy, stormy weather. The Lambay Cub Pack is based in Skerries County Dublin. When we were cleaning it we found a shotgun cartridge and we had to bring it to the Garda station We decided to clean up the beach because it is much more safe and fun when it is clean and everyone enjoys it more!!! Bagheera Six We went to the beach for our clean up day on 8/4/14 we cleaned the Skerries beach we love our beach so we decided to clean it so we could enjoy it more! We used bags and litter pickers to collect the rubbish we filled two big black bin bags full of rubbish. Luckily we have a good cub group and we all helped each other make the beach cleaner We walked half of the beach and made it really clean. We found a live shotgun cartridge which we had to take to our Garda station. Further on during our clean up we found bones and wreckages of boats. We had great fun working together to make our beach cleaner and more beautiful because that is the way it should be!!!
