"BULIGanay Para Sa Panay"
The Agila ng Confesor (Eagle Scouts) and Boy Scouts of the Philippines - Iloilo (Confesor) Council, called scouts into action to help affected schools and communities by Typhoon Ursula in Northern Iloilo in the Philippines through the "BULIGanay Para Sa Panay" initiative, a relief and rehabilitation mobilization of Scouts from Iloilo (Confesor) Council.
The mobilization was done in two waves, 4-5 January 2020 and 11-12 January 2020 in the local communities of Balasan, Carles and Estancia, located at the Northern part of Iloilo Province.
Food packs, water, medicines and clothing were distributed to the local barangays, while school supplies are donated to the schools in the district of Balasan.
Rehabilitation effort was also provided to some affected schools to provide support on the Education Continuity Plan of the Department of Education.
This project was benefited by around 200 locals in the community of the above-mentioned municipalities. Aside from relief operation, volunteer scouts together with the locals, also conducted a tree planting and a clean up drive.
Goals can be achieved as long as you have the determination and committment.
