Salem Arulmigu Kottai Mariyamman Festival is celebrated 1st Week of August every year. A large number of devotees will gather from all parts of Salem and neighboring districts. It is a great festival mela celebrated for 10 days and the devotees come to the temple from early morning to midnight . In order to regulate the crowd Salem district Scouts and Guides are deputed batch wise, every day from 4th August to 7th August . 216 Scouts , 162 Guides ,20 Scout Masters and 15 Guide captains actively took part in the service mela. They are very helpful to the Police department and to the Temple Administration in regulating the crowd in a proper manner. They worked from Morning 6am to 8pm in the evening . They got appreciation from the public, police department and Temple administration department.
