THE members of the Belait District Scouts Association (PPDB) held a cleaning campaign on August 17 in Mukim Sungai Liang as part of efforts to aid the local community in the district.

The campaign was held at the residence of Chan Lai Miew, an elderly single mother, who is also a member of the Scout Troop 3040.

Leading the team was Acting Assistant Scouts Commissioner of the Community and Environment Division of the PPDB Juin bin Antin.

Also present were executive committee member of the PPDB Lieutenant Colonel (Rtd) Ramli bin Abdul Hadis; Acting Assistant Scouts Commissioner for the Women’s Division of the PPDB Siti Rosmahwardey binti Haji Rosli; Troop 3040 Scouts Leaders Rapiah binti Haji Othman and Jeleha binti Rosli; and Scouts Leaders Mohammed Sufri @ Bohari bin Haji Sabli, Quat Yee Bui, as well as a Scouts Leader in Mukim Sungai Liang Rohime bin Juin and two others.

The campaign, part of the PPDB’s Community Social Responsibility (CSR) to help lessen the burden of those in need, saw PPDB members cleaning the surrounding areas of the residence and foster good social relationships with the community.
