I as the Assistant Scout Leader of SU Scouts Troop has volunteered to serve as part of the Secretariat Team during the 4TH ASIA PACIFIC REGION NSO MoP COORDINATORS MEET at International Youth Centre, Cheras, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 9th April 2018 till 13th April 2018. This 4TH ASIA PACIFIC REGION NSO MoP COORDINATORS MEET is organised by the WOSM Berau Asia Pacific Region Support Centre, Philipines and the host country, Malaysia. A total of 24 scouts from different NSO like India, Malaysia, Timur Leste, Bhutan, Korea and a few others country in Asia Pacific Region have represented themselves in this meet. Throughout this meet, I have able to increase my knowledge about MoP and learn more about each NSO initiatives in MoP. During this period of serving, I have played the duty of assisting the Meet Director and the meet resource persons in the sessions hall. On the morning of 11th April 2018, there is a Mock Demo and I have assisted the Asia Pacific Region staff as the Timekeeper. The duty of timekeeper is to ensure that whistle is blown at the end of the base station scheduled time and make sure that every group manage to proceed their next base station. Besides that, in the secretariat room, I was busy helping out the secretariat team to prepare the Meet Participants Directory, meeting report and other documentation. At the end of serving as a secretariat in this 4TH ASIA PACIFIC REGION NSO MoP COORDINATORS MEET, I have better understanding of how important a secretariat is to an event. Without an organised secretariat team, I believe that this 4TH ASIA PACIFIC REGION NSO MoP COORDINATORS MEET will not be a successful event.
