45days community service at Pelling choekhor
My motivation for volunteering came from a strong desire to help others and serve my community. Seeing thousands of people gather for prayers inspired me to step forward and serve wherever I was needed. As a Scout, I believe in putting service before self, and this opportunity allowed me to live by those values.
This experience taught me discipline, patience, responsibility, and teamwork, while making me more caring, confident, and passionate about serving others.
I volunteered with my Scout team during the 45-day religious gathering, divided into 24 groups of 6–7 members for efficient service. Each day, we distributed meals, drinks, and evening tea, then cleaned the area to keep it safe and pleasant.
Through this experience, I learned the importance of teamwork, time management, and consistent commitment while serving a large community. I also developed empathy and respect by understanding the needs of people from diverse backgrounds. Overall, small acts of service, like providing food and maintaining cleanliness, can make a significant impact on people’s well-being.
