4-K: Kalusugan at Kaalaman tungo sa Kaunlaran ng Kabataan

There are 16 Rover Scouts of Bhumi Rover Circle 10 along with the child development teachers and the barangay staff who conducted a feeding program and a short health educational program at Pulung Santol Child Development Center on June 26, 2023.

Aside from the objective to fill the children’s empty stomach, this project also aims to supply knowledge in the minds of the kindergarten as the Scouts taught them the basic knowledge and the benefits of handwashing.

One of the challenges that arose during this project was the funding. It was the key concern as the means that was used to establish this project came from the very own pockets of the volunteers. Despite that, the circle still managed to push this project through.

“Coming from a family that had to struggle with means to put food on the table, I realized that we as a Circle should continue to serve and find ways to mitigate poverty.”

Indeed, the initiative helped the kindergarten students grow better and healthier. Moreover, because of this project, the program may become an annual activity to help the Child Development Team educate and nourish the learners.

This project reflects that this did not only benefit the children, it did not only promote citizenship and camaraderie, it also left stories and lessons that allowed the Rovers to understand the significance of their service for the young generation.
