Labyrinths are ancient human symbols known to go back at least 4000 years. They engaged the body, the soul and the mind focusing upon movement along a defined path which fostered a sacred promise that if one followed the one way of life, it would lead to peace. Today, labyrinths are used for reflection, meditation, prayer and comfort. The Hong Kong Contingent ran a Labyrinth Programme as part of the Onsite Peace Programme at the Global Development Village of the 23rd World Scout Jamboree. A total of 1273 participants took part in the induction talk and walked the labyrinth. In addition, in-depth training manual for labyrinth-building was distributed to all participating countries in the Jamboree. Members of the Labyrinth Team were: Edward So, Martha Collard, Stephen Wat, Rex Wong and Terry Tai of the HK Contingent and Greg Dworkin of the USA Contingent.
