The Cub scouts from 1 Gawler scout group, South Australia recently completed their messengers of peace project. The Cubs decided during a pack council that their project would be to collect donations for toiletries to give to the residents of a local organisation that provides supported accommodation. The reason the cubs choose the residents to help is often due to mental health issues or other disabilities they sometimes go without things like shampoo and toothpaste and the cubs thought it would be awesome if they could help them. During the term the cubs collected the donations and during the holidays the organisation was given the donations, the residents were extremely grateful.
