Workshop on World Scouting for Rover Scouts organized by Scouts of China (TAIWAN)

A Workshop on World Scouting for Rover Scouts was organized on 29 March at the Scouts of China HQ, in Taipei, Taiwan. It was attended by some 30 rover scouts and young leaders. The purpose of the workshop is to promote understanding of World Scouting and its related issues, to promote the participation of Scouts of the World Program and also the forthcoming World Scout Youth Forum in Slovenia. Both International Commissioner, Dr. Ie-Bin Lian, and Chairman of National Youth and Rover Committee, Dr. Liu, Yuan-Chun, attended the workshop and encouraged rovers to participate international activities. The workshop covers the World Organization, SWA, World Scout Youth Forum, etc. The participants also discussed several topics in small groups and debated the issues raised from the presentation. Several young leaders also shared their experiences in past World or regional Youth Forum. It was hoped the workshop will encourage more applications to attend the coming World Scout Youth Forum and will be of help for their preparation. Two more workshops of this kind will be organized in central and southern Taiwan later in April and May to draw more interest.
