SGS LIGHTS FOR ALL ZIMBABWE

As a way of helping students living in poor communities during this CoVID pandemic we are advocating for Solar as a renewable energy to help provide power for lighting , charging among other functions. Because of the cost of candles , gas lamps e.t.c time to study at home after school for students is limited and school in marginal communities find it hard to provide such facilities due to the unavailbility of power lines. As a solution Scouts will design and install basic solar systems , do sensitisation training to raise awareness for earth tribe in 3 community places that are offering education to around 1000 young people. Because of their Geography there are a lot of challenges that come with not having electricity at school like not being able to print , charge or lights for study.  We believe from research that basic solar systems for lighting and charging will satisfy the school functions and promote better studies /education for the young people.
