The 8th National Cub Camporee (from 22-27 January 2016) started and officially inaugurated by the Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina on 23rd January, from her official residence though video conference at 10:30 am. She distributed highest award for cubs SHAPLA among 71 cub scout in this programme . Honble Prime Minister highly appreciated the activities of scouts in the country specially at the time of natural and man made disaster. She confirm her commitment to continue all sort help for the expansion of scouting in the country. Prime minister talked with four cub scouts at camporee area (Mouchak) through video conference. Dr Mozammel Haque Khan Chief National Commissioner of Bangladesh Scouts was present with Prime Minister and delivers welcome address. At the same time at Mouchak a big Opening programme was organized . Cabinet minister Mr Amir Hossain Amu, Mr Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya BB, state Minister Begum Meher Afroz Chumki, Mr Abul Kalam Azad president Bangladesh Scouts and Mr Nazibur Rahman Presint Camporee Organisibg Committee was present at Mouchak. A Colorful cultural programme was displayed by Cubs. 752 Cubs receives award from distinguished guests. National Television (BTV) telecast the total ceremony LIVE from the both end. All daily news papers published news photographs with due importance.We nominate 2 daily news papers,One radio, one on line news and a TV channel as media partner of this camporee. A big media center is working round the clock to feed media. A face book page, group, website, flickre and you tube channel is uploading all the time .
