Cedars for the World

Celebrating the 74th annual Lebanese Independence Day, the Scouts de l'Indépendence, Groupe St. Jean Ajaltoun spent a long day full of laughter and fun moments. As the two troupes were busy planting 104 Cedar trees in the Bekaata Road in Aachkout, the two meutes went on to plant 7 of their own and work on the souvenirs. The whole group was reunited for a tasty lunch and a tabouleh prepared by the parents that were present, and then went on to play a whole bunch of competitive games that went to test everyone's abilities. The creative and singing talents that the troupes have were out to the test in a zajal competition that showed innovation and smart use of words. We would like to thank every person who helped make this event a succesful one, most importantly the Aachkout municipality for helping in the tree Planting in their village, and the School for their constant support and love. But above all, we would like to thank every parent who could or couldn't make it, since they are the backbone of our group, and without their loving support we would have long been gone. عشتم, عاش لبنان, وعاشت الSDI- SJAJ.
