The Report Of An Awareness Programme Against Indiscriminate Explosion Of Crackers At Asansol, On 01/11/13 & 02/11/13 Service hours:48 Hrs Number of Participants :-65 Date:- 1st and 2ND November Place: - Asansol India We have just left behind the very colorful festive season and even are not out of its hang over however, of these, the festival of Diwali is the festival of light. But our over-joyous zeal exceeds the luminosity of light for more enjoyment we tend to burst crackers irrespective of time and locality. This is’ obviously, not new problem and many initiatives had been taken before against this by several authorities. But those were of no value. The practice of indiscriminate bursting of crackers even still dominates the festive mood. Thus against such offence The Bharat Scouts and Guides, Eastern Railway, Asansol District organized an awareness programme on the eve of the festival’ on the 1st and 2nd November for spreading some general awareness against the possible horrible consequences f this practice we arranged a road rally. The scout Rover and Ranger spontaneously participated in this rally. Setting out from DRM office we covered the entire Loco Colony and the Vivekananda Institute as well and came back to the spot from where we started. For drawing attention of people very soothing but charming band party was employed. Along with the posters and banners we distributed even left-lets very vividly describing the evil consequences of bursting crackers and the necessary steps that our should follow before engaging in such practice. By over-powering the mood of celebration this habit of bursting crackers has become a nuisance for a healthy and safe life. And to make and of this we aspired for and honest, little but hopefully successful drive.
