The Scout Association of Nigeria like their other counterpart National Scout Organizations celebrate the 161st Birthday Anniversary of Lord Robert Stephen-Symth Baden Powell, The Founder of Scouts and Guides Worldwide, The Chief Scout of the World and The Hero of Maffeking. Part of the celebrations from Nigeria NSO was the visit of the Scouts Sections to the Museum and the Wife of The Executive Governor of Edo State; Mrs Obaseki. The Scouts started the Inter-States Scout Hiking from Ogun State Sout-West Nigeria to Edo State in South-South Nigeria. Other activities to celebrate our Founder's Day, was the Messengers of Peace Campaign against Corruption within our Society. Nigeria, which was ranked high within the Corruptions Perception Index became a concern to the Scouting body and they believed Scouts could utilize the Founder's Day to Campaign and sensitize people against the menace of Corruptions within our Society. There were other Joint Programs performed by The Scout Association of Nigeria and The Guide Association of Nigeria Enugu State Councils.
