Below there are some sample actions you can contribute to the
6 Clean Water and Sanitation
Every single drop of water counts. Check every pipe in your house and fix any leaks.
Protect and restore your local water sources, take your Scout group to clean up a river or stream.
Raise awareness about the importance of washing your hands properly. Put up a poster in the restrooms of your school and Scout house.
Reduce the amount of water you use daily. Calculate your water footprint and challenge your friends to measuring how much water you can each save daily.
750 million people lack access to clean drinking water. Learn how to make your own water filter and teach your patrol how to make their own.
Write to your local authority to ensure safer sanitation for everyone in your community and offer to volunteer to support these initiatives.
Hold a discussion with your Scout group on how clean water sources become polluted and identify at-risk water soures in your community.
Make an awareness poster and hang it up at your school about how plastics can pollute waterways and block sewarage systems.
Make a poster on wastewater treatment and share it with your Scout group.
